The lot is 5120 square meters in area. There are four dilapidated buildings. We use one for worship services, another as a kitchen, the third and fourth ones as quarters for the workers and storage. There are also two non-operational swimming pools and sizable ground for gardening.
Our gardens have yielded lots of squash (which we are now replacing with Philippine lemon trees), eggplants, tomatoes, okra, moringa, spring onions, kamote tops, water spinach, and string beans, among others. There are also fruit trees in the area. Bananas, jackfruit, guavas. The mango trees are laden with fruits and our mouths water at the mere sight. The income we generate from the yield of garden goes to the monthly payment for the church lot.
We have also been improving on the building we use for worship services. It has been partially repainted. Wall fans have been installed. Work on the ceiling is underway. It still gets too warm for comfort during the services, so we're still thinking of ways to improve the building and to gather means to actually make the improvements.
We also very recently installed a new gate.
What's making the place so very pretty right now are all the flowers that sisters put in.
So much needs to be done. Yet everything that has been done is a constant assurance of God's guiding hand in this project. If you are impressed to help in this project in any way, please see our Church Building Project page to find out how.
