Camp Meeting 2016

Everyone is invited to get to know Jesus more at our 14th Annual Camp Meeting on October 24-30 at the Royal Valley Free Seventh-day Adventist Church (see directions below). Themed "Living for Jesus," this year's camp meeting will focus on Jesus Christ, the roles He takes on, and how these roles relate to us and affect our lives.

To know Jesus is to love Him, and to love Him is to live for Him. Sadly, many today do not truly know Jesus Christ and what He has done and still does out of love for fallen humanity.

This camp meeting will take us deeper into our relationship with our Savior and help prepare us for His soon return.

Camp Meeting 2013

It’s official! This year’s camp meeting will be held on October 29 – November 3 at the Royal Valley Free SDA Church.

The theme will be “Christ Our Example,” giving special focus to the work of Medical Missionary Evangelism.
We have very special speakers this year, including

  • Pastor Willie Manipol, a pastor and naturopathic doctor who founded the Corinthian Naturopathic College in Glendale, California;
  • Sis. Juliet Tano, a self-supporting medical missionary based in Iloilo, who comes with extensive education and experience in the field of health and natural healing; and
  • Sis. Monica Hahn, a bright and eager young woman originally from California but is currently based in Cavite to do work as a self-supporting medical missionary.

So yes, this camp meeting promises to be storehouse of manifold blessings waiting to be opened for everyone who will attend. Do come and bring your family and friends.

Updates will be posted on this blog so watch out for those.

God bless! Smile

Church Floor Tiling

Yes, the church floor is getting tiled. Thanks to brethren whose hearts were touched to share their blessings with the church that has been our home for a year and a half now. The picture shows Phase 1 of the tiling project which will be completed today. Phases 2 and 3 will involve tiling of the floor of the right wing and the back portion of the building (after completion of the flooring in that area).

Other improvement projects include mounting of the right wing ceiling, painting the entire ceiling, and improving the lighting and ventilation system.

One wall of the building had been taken down to create more space and improve ventilation.

Church brethren have been very generous in giving to the cause through donations in money, materials, and labor.

This is yet another proof that the Lord never leaves His people without help. More updates to come in the weeks to follow, especially as we gear up for the Summer Camp Meeting this April 16-20.

We would be very glad to have you at the camp meeting. Do come and invite your friends, too. Guest speakers and singers will be flying in from Luzon to bring messages of mercy, awakening, and empowerment to everyone - Seventh-day Adventist and otherwise.

For more information and directions on how to get here, email us at royalvalleyfreesda@gmail.com or leave a comment below.

And if you are impressed to lend a hand for this church-building-in-progress, check out our Church Building Page.

Be blessed today.

Church Updates

It has been quite some time since this blog has been updated, and so much has happened. With every passing day, we bear witness to the grace of God in what He does through His people.

The last quarter of the past year has been truly wonderful in that it opened to us doors for more learning and service.

In October we held our Annual Camp Meeting and were much refreshed by the review of the pillars of our faith. November saw us thankful for another year of service through the airwaves with the celebration of the Radio Ministry's 9th Anniversary. In December, we became better acquainted with another congregation of Present Truth Believers who are based in Luzon. Pastor and Sister Catubigan were graced with the opportunity to attend their annual camp meeting and were very much blessed by it.

The acquaintance has been such a blessing that we have invited the said ministry to our very own camp meeting this summer. That's something we can all look forward to. Details about the upcoming camp meeting will be saved for the next post, so do come back and see.

Besides the camp meeting, we are also gearing up for Vacation Bible School and the possibility of visiting our Luzon brethren again for their Youth Congress.

As for these past months, we have been busy making improvements in the church lot and building, establishing our Publishing Office, holding medical missionary classes and cooking demonstrations for the members, and putting together a youth choir, among others.

God has also brought us in touch with four other churches in and around Davao City with whom we can learn and work together as we realize that the time we live is indeed God's time for gathering together His precious jewels and preparing them for the last great work.

We have also had the opportunity to extend help to our brethren in Compostela Valley who were victims of the typhoon Pablo. The scene was truly devastating - another reminder from God that we are nearing the end of our time and we ought to take up our work more seriously than ever before. We are planning a second visit to the area in the next few months. Should you be impressed to help in this cause, please contact us through our email address: royalvalleyfreesda@gmail.com

I'll be posting photos and updates in the days to follow and I'm hoping that you will come back to follow the progress of the church. If you are involved with a church and/or a ministry, we would also be very happy to hear of you and the work that you do.

May the Lord prosper all our efforts as we endeavor to serve Him and work with Him!
